Flat.
The Scandinavian approach: wide, flat-brimmed, shadow-casting. Stands up to steam and to weather. Works outside the sauna too — alpine winters, summer rain, any moment where keeping the sun (or heat) off the head is the point.
Undyed Alpine wool from five named farms near Bohinj. Scoured once, carded twice, wet-felted by hand on a wooden form. No glue, no lining, no synthetics. The inside band is pencil-signed by Rozika.

Rinse in cool water after each sauna. Reshape on a clean towel. Dry flat, away from direct heat. Never put in a dryer. Every 2–3 months, hand-wash with a drop of wool-safe soap.
Felted in Bohinj, Slovenia, by Rozika. Wool sourced from five named farms within 60 km of the workshop: Srednja Vas, Studor, Stara Fužina, Ukanc, and Koprivnik. We visit each in the spring.
